Blue Ribbon Embellished Frame For Baby Boy

This blue ribbon embellished frame uses 3 different style ribbons to create this adorable rocking horse frame. The mane and tail each consists of 3 strips cut to the same length and attached using hot glue. A button eye was also added.

You can add more ribbon strips if you prefer a larger mane or tail. You may also substitute yarn in place of the ribbon. Make tassels with the yarn and attach in the same manner. I liked the look of the ribbon strips on the frame. You can also make a bow using the ribbons and tie around the neck and change the entire look of this project.

To make this frame, you will need the following:

Materials:

Wooden rocking horse frame

3 styles of blue ribbon

Button

Measuring tape or ruler

Scissors

Hot glue or craft glue

Instructions:

For Mane and Tail Version:

Step 1: Measure 3 different style ribbons to desired length.

Step 2: Cut 3 pieces of ribbon using the measurements taken.

Step 3: Add a bead of glue to the top of the mane of the frame and place each ribbon along the length of the mane.

Step 4: Add a bead of glue to the top of the tail of the frame and place each ribbon along the length of the tail.

Step 5: Add a bead of glue to where the eye will go on the head and place button on top.

For Bow Version:

Step 1: Measure 3 different style ribbons taking neck circumference into consideration for final length.

Step 2: Cut 3 pieces of ribbon using the measurements taken.

Step 3: Tie a bow around the neck of the frame using all 3 ribbons together.

Step 4: Cut ends of ribbons at an angle or straight across.

Step 5: Add a bead of glue to where the eye will go on the head and place button on top.

If you are using craft glue, follow the instructions on the bottle for drying times. Hot glue dries very quickly so you must place the items on the frame before the glue dries.
